Advanced Medical Foot Care vs. Pedicure

Medical foot care and pedicures serve different purposes. Pedicures are cosmetic treatments focused on the appearance of the feet and nails, while medical foot care focuses on foot health. Medical foot care is provided by a trained healthcare professional and may include assessment and treatment of concerns such as corns, calluses, ingrown or thickened nails, fungal nails, and other foot and nail conditions. Specialized care and education can also be provided for clients with conditions such as diabetes or peripheral vascular disease. While Mountain Peak is not a spa and does not offer cosmetic pedicures, we want every appointment to be comfortable and enjoyable. Each treatment concludes with a gentle lower-leg and foot massage using a professional hydrating and reparative lotion. It's a client favourite!

Our Story

Working in healthcare and living in a rural community, it was evident that there is a need for more community resources; specifically, medical foot care. We recognize that some may not have the ability to access transportation into urban areas for care and a barrier exists. We have a strong belief that your health care services should not be impacted by location. Our company aims to bridge the gap that exists by creating this essential service. We recognize that many people develop problems with their feet that require specialized attention. Whether you require preventative, maintenance or more complex foot care needs, we wanted to be in a position to help our clients not only improve their quality of life but have them experience the difference that proper foot care can make and truly be at the  'peak' of foot health.
